lyrics

3. The Wanderer | No springtime sun could break its
hold. A calloused grip judged the tale told. The trees whispered
great mockery. A curse entwined in falling leaves. Their
drifting shapes guided my eyes down to the dirt with my hands
tied. If you minds bright light has dimmed in tune with your
eyes no longer taking in the rays that cut the fading dim of the
space between life and nothing. Has the smile cracked on your
face straightened as a freezing coat of sweat’s breaking
through your skin that splits on shaking lips as the salt parts
from your pride in drips? No candles lit on this grey day for
darkness lifts a fitting scene. My body slumped in precious time
for I’ve felt dead since I saw light. My eyes peeled back and
gazed on views that beheld pain and ugly truths. When I was
a child I saw my life had no value. I opened my eyes and
embraced its curse. This is an existence where all ends are equal.
Your choices and chances all lead to a hearse. You cannot claim
that your actions make ripples or that your motives are for
more than self-worth. We’re united in escape but we’re alone
for the worst.
